乖乖的故事 Guai Guai's story:
乖乖是協會調查部門接獲民眾通報案件帶回的狗狗，報案人在倒資源回收時發現回收場外單獨鍊養一隻狗狗，看起來非常虛弱，詢問之下才知道狗狗的飼主是一名獨居癌末老人，昏倒在家中，後來才被發現報警送醫，這段期間狗狗一直沒有人照顧餵食。 報案人原本當下通報當地主管機關，但動保處告知在動物有足夠遮蔽且沒有立即性的生命安危下，是無法直接將動物帶走的，因此才請求協會協助。
調查部門前往現場確認犬隻健康狀況，發現老伯伯幫狗狗親手做的木屋確實足夠遮風避雨，隨後立即前往醫院探視老伯伯，確認已有社會局介入後，協會決定取得飼主同意把狗狗帶走，因為生病的老伯伯也無能為力在繼續照顧乖乖。飼主同意也很感謝我們的協助，並表示乖乖很乖，不曾生病，個性溫和忠心，是個好好先生。目前協會將乖乖安置在愛心領養小站→好時光寵物旅館，雖然剛開始換到新環境乖乖有些緊張，但經過一段時間相處，乖乖已經可以放鬆休息，綻放笑容！

GuaiGuai recently came to the attention of Taiwan SPCA after our investigation team received a case reported by a concerned citizen, who noticed GuaiGuai chained up alone outside a recycling center. After asking around, the concerned citizen found that GuaiGuai’s owner was an elderly, advanced-stage cancer patient who lived alone. He was discovered unconscious at home and had been taken to the hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, due to his illness he is no longer able to care for GuaiGuai.
Our investigators went to the site to check on GuaiGuai’s condition and found that his elderly owner had actually taken good care of him prior to his collapse, even building GuaiGuai a dog house to shield him from the weathers. Afterwards, we visited GuaiGuai’s owner at the hospital. He expressed that he is no longer able to take care of GuaiGuai, and hoped Taiwan SPCA could help GuaiGuai find a loving home to live the life he deserves.
GuaiGuai has been neutered and given a clean bill of health by the vet. Although a little nervous and timid, GuaiGuai, as his Chinese name implies, is a gentle soul who smiles adorably when petted.
