米妮的故事 Minniei story:
Two years ago the TSPCA recused a Schnauzer mix named Minnie. She had been living a great life after being adopted. However the other day as we were thinking about ways to rescue other dogs we learned there had been a change in Minnie’s living situation.
When Minnie entered her new home it consisted of a Mother, Father, and their 10 month old child. The mother at the time was able to both take care of the child and take Minnie out for walks. They lived this way for a year. During that time the family introduced two new members to their household: a grandfather and a new baby. The father’s job kept him away in China often and only came home occasionally.
TSPCA received a call from the mother the other day. The mother was no longer able to take Minnie out for walks. With the birth of the new baby, taking care of the toddler, and the grandfather’s eyesight not being well due to a stroke she really had her hands full. She tried to teach Minnie to use the bathroom inside the house and tried many times to figure out a way, but Minnie did not like being inside the house. She was no longer able to give Minnie the time she needed and asked the TSPCA to find her a new home.
We know there are many unavoidable frustrations in life. However we want to remind everyone again. Think twice when you are considering adopting. Think of all the unexpecting things that could happen. If they do, are you still resolute that you can take care of your furry child? If you have a hint of hesitation and really love animals, you could always choose to be a foster. This is a great option!
If you are prepared, we welcome you to fill out an adoption form! Fostering is great too. Foster lasts for at least three months and TSPCA will pay for all veterinary bills and food. We hope that Minnie’s next stop will be her forever home!
