Today is the second day of the Asia for Animals conference in Chengdu! So far we've met lots of old and new friends from international animal welfare organizations, heard some very interesting speeches and have seen what other groups in Asia are doing! We are looking forward to coming back to Taiwan and getting back to work for Taiwan's animals!
This morning we went to Dansui to look for an injured cat but unfortunately was unable to find him. Friendly reminder to everyone that if you find an injured animal it is crucial to get help from professional animal rescue groups immediately or if you believe the animal is friendly enough, be proactive and offer them help (take them to a vet) as you may be their only chance at getting medical attention (Safety first however!). If everyone can do what they can do, then we can all join hands to help even more animals in need.
Just wanted to post a quick thank you to Joanna Crimmins and all the great grade 7 students at Taipei European School. SPCA was very happy to come and talk with you about us and animal welfare, but we were even happier at the end of the presentation because of all of your great questions, genuine interest and impressive knowledge about animal welfare issues!
