Taoyuan City| Gallo's Story:
Have you ever seen a Bulldog with a tail? Gallo is waiting for a home! 🖤🏠
"Wait, did the SPCA just rescue a Formosan Black Bear?!" ...Just kidding! Meet Gallo, a unique Bulldog-Mix girl. If you love dogs with a one-of-a-kind look, you definitely need to meet her.
Gallo has a long nose, a full tail, and weighs about 15kg. She’s like a rare, "plus-sized" version of a Bulldog. When she walks down the street, she’s a total head-turner!
Personality:She has the lively, affectionate nature of a Bulldog, combined with the intelligence and independence of a Mixed breed. While she definitely has a mind of her own, she is an incredibly cooperative and "good girl." Whether it’s vet visits, baths, or nail trimming, she remains calm and steady—the kind of dog that gives you total peace of mind.
She is also a huge foodie! This makes giving her medicine a breeze; just sprinkle the powder on her food, and she’ll finish it all without a second thought. Regarding other dogs, we are still observing her social style, though she is currently very close to her "case sister," Strawberry.
Gallo’s Story:Gallo is 7 years old, and sadly, she has spent the vast majority of her life behind bars.
Years ago, her previous owner took in two Bulldogs from a friend with the best intentions. However, as children were born and work became busier, the family's priorities shifted. Their living space was gradually squeezed until they were eventually moved to an empty lot outside a shop, living separately in small cages.
She lived that way for seven long years.
Now, Gallo has finally left that cage behind. Her health currently requires ongoing monitoring: she has some unidentified body lumps, slightly elevated liver enzymes, and has tested positive for Heartworm (treatment is already being planned). Despite this, her spirit is high and her appetite is excellent—she is a dog who is truly excited to finally start living.
Seven years in a cage didn't break her trust in humans. She will still happily trot over to lean against you, waiting for a gentle touch.
If you are willing to give a home to a girl with a unique look, a lovely personality, and a life that is just beginning to restart, Gallo is waiting for you.
| Update:
- 2026/03/07 There is a heartworm infection, which requires six months of medication and monitoring. In addition, liver enzyme levels are elevated, so it is important to watch for signs such as jaundice, vomiting, and soft stools. An ultrasound will be arranged if necessary.
- 2026/03/13 There is a small patch of hair loss on the right lower abdomen, associated with folliculitis. Topical medication is being applied continuously.
