Every year it just gets better and better as more and more animal loving people come out to support SPCA's animal welfare cause. 推行可持續海產品計劃 香港2012年1月17日電 /美通社亞洲/ -- 香格里拉酒店集團今日宣佈推行「可持續海產品計劃」，即日起在所有旗下酒店餐廳、宴會場合停止供應魚翅產品。在此日期前已簽署合約的宴會活動，將仍如約履 行。同時，香格里拉酒店集團還承諾在2012年內，旗下所有餐廳將逐步停售藍鰭金槍和智利海鱸。早在2010年12月，香格里拉集團就已率先在所有餐廳的 菜單上取消魚翅菜肴。此次推出的「可持續海產品計劃」也是香格里拉在環保事業上的持續踐行。

香格里拉酒店集團自2005年起啟動企業社會責任專案，並於2009年將其整合規劃為「可持續發展」、「人文關懷」和「關愛自然」三條主線，有計劃、有步驟地實踐企業社會責任承諾。了解更多

__【記者唐澄暐綜合報導】近日新聞報導，一位寵物店主公開宣傳自己從澳洲引進的兩隻沼林袋鼠（一公一母）；台灣防止虐待動物協會（Taiwan SPCA）批評，可見台灣政府在野生動物引進、販賣及繁殖相關法律的漏洞，呼籲民眾抵制忽視動物福祉的交易繁殖者。防止虐待動物協會表示，從台灣野生動物保育法及協會詢問林務局官員的回應得知，如果進口的動物屬於一般野生動物（不包含瀕臨絕種、保育或對大眾有危害的動 物），進口者可進行任何形式的養育，繁殖或販賣。儘管在「野生動物保育法實施細則」提到，以利益為前提的進口者，須持有進口野生動物的相關執照或該產品證 明，但若該動物是出口國已大量繁殖或販賣的物種或對本土動植物不會造成危害，台灣野生動物保育法就無法保障這些動物，也無法規範其繁殖者和擁有者。閱讀更多

鑒於近日新聞,一位寵物店老闆公開宣傳自己從澳洲引進的兩隻沼林袋鼠(一公一母),我們在此對於台灣政府關於野生動物的引進,販賣及繁殖相關法律上的漏洞深表遺憾.依照台灣野生動物保育法及詢問林務局官員所得的相關回答:

Regarding the recent report of a pet shop owner publicly announcing the sale of two Red-legged Pademelons (male and female) imported from Australia, we are deeply disappointed at the lack of regulations in Taiwan governing the importing, breeding, and sale of general wildlife species. According to the law and information given to us by the Forestry Bureau:

if the imported species is under the category of General Wildlife (not an endangered/protected species, or species of danger to the public) then the importer can raise, breed, and sell as they wish.
